Best Forex Academy in India: What a Good One Should Teach You (2026)
Written by Dinesh Verma, Founder of MonarkFX. Trading Indian, forex and crypto markets since 2021 and teaching price action and demand-supply to retail traders in West Delhi and online.
When people search for the best forex academy in India, most of them are really asking one question: “Where can I learn this properly without getting cheated?” Fair question. The forex space has more fake gurus per square kilometre than almost any other part of trading.
I run a trading academy myself, so I won’t pretend to be neutral. What I can do is show you what a good forex academy should teach, module by module, and how to compare academies on substance rather than on Instagram followers. Use this to judge us too.

What Is a Forex Academy?
Table of Contents
A forex academy is a training centre, online or offline, that teaches you how currency markets work and how to trade them with a plan. The difference between an academy and a random course is structure. An academy should have levels, a fixed syllabus, practice assignments and a mentor who reviews your work.
In India, a forex academy should also teach you the legal side: which currency pairs you are allowed to trade, on which exchanges, and through which kind of broker. Skipping that part is how many beginners land on illegal offshore apps.
Why YouTube Alone Usually Isn’t Enough
I learned a lot from free content in my early days, and I still recommend some of it. But free videos have three gaps:
- No order. You watch a video on Fibonacci before you understand market structure, and nothing connects.
- No feedback. Nobody tells you that your stop loss is placed exactly where everyone else’s is.
- Too many methods. Ten creators, ten strategies, and you end up jumping between all of them.
A good forex academy fixes these three gaps. If it doesn’t, you are paying for something you could have watched for free.
What a Good Forex Academy Teaches: Module by Module
Here is the syllabus I believe every beginner forex academy course should cover. Compare any brochure against this list.
Module 1: How the Forex Market Works
- What a currency pair is, base and quote currency
- Pips, lots and contract size on Indian exchanges
- Market sessions and why the London open moves INR pairs
- Legal forex in India: USD/INR, EUR/INR, GBP/INR, JPY/INR and permitted cross pairs on NSE and BSE
Module 2: Reading Charts
- Candlesticks and what they actually show
- Trend, range and market structure (higher highs, lower lows)
- Support, resistance and demand-supply zones
- Multi-timeframe analysis: daily for direction, hourly for entry
Module 3: Risk Management
- Risking 1 to 2 percent of capital per trade
- Position sizing with a simple formula
- Stop loss placement that is not obvious to everyone
- Daily and weekly loss limits
Module 4: Trading Psychology and Journaling
- Why we take revenge trades after a loss
- Writing down entry, stop, target and reason before each trade
- Weekly journal reviews to find repeat mistakes
Module 5: Live Practice
- Demo trading for six to eight weeks
- Small live trades with a SEBI-registered broker
- Trade reviews with the mentor
If an academy spends 80% of its hours on indicators and 5% on risk, the balance is wrong. In our batches, risk and psychology take up nearly as much time as chart reading, and students usually tell me later that those sessions were the ones that actually saved their money.
How to Choose the Best Forex Academy in India
Once the syllabus looks right, compare academies on these points:
| What to compare | What a good forex academy does | What a weak one does |
|---|---|---|
| Promises | Talks about skill, risk and time | Talks about income and lifestyle |
| Mentor | Named person who trades and shows reasoning | Anonymous “team of experts” |
| Practice | Demo phase, then small live trades | Pushes live trading in week one |
| Support | Doubt sessions during and after course | WhatsApp group that goes silent |
| Legality | Only SEBI-regulated exchange forex | Suggests offshore apps or “partners” |

Online vs Offline Forex Academy
Both can work. An offline forex academy gives you face-to-face feedback and a fixed routine, which helps if you get distracted easily. An online one gives you access to a good mentor even if you live far from a metro city. What matters is whether live teaching and reviews actually happen.
If you are leaning online, I have written separately about how to judge a forex school online. If you are in West Delhi and prefer a classroom, you can also look at our trading institute near Uttam Nagar.
Common Mistakes People Make While Choosing
- Choosing by follower count. Big following means good marketing, not good teaching.
- Paying for “lifetime signals”. Signals keep you dependent. You came to learn.
- Ignoring the legal side. Learning on offshore apps can cost you more than your course fee.
- Skipping the demo class. One hour in a class tells you more than ten reels.
- Expecting quick income. This sets you up to overtrade and quit within months.
Is a Forex Academy Worth the Money?
It depends on what you do after joining. A forex academy gives you structure, feedback and a shorter learning curve. It does not give you discipline. Students who practise daily, keep a journal and attend reviews get far more out of the same course than students who only watch recordings.
Think of it this way. Most beginners lose much more than a course fee in their first year of trading alone, mainly through overtrading and missing stop losses. If a good academy helps you avoid even part of that, the fee is usually worth it. Advanced Chart Concepts: SMC, ICT and Liquidity
Currency pairs like USD/INR and EUR/USD respect liquidity and order flow just like stocks. Once the basics are in place, our forex students also learn:
- Support and resistance and demand and supply zones as the base
- Liquidity: equal highs and lows, stop loss clusters and liquidity sweeps
- Smart Money Concepts (SMC): break of structure (BOS), change of character (CHoCH), order blocks and fair value gaps
- ICT ideas: premium and discount areas and session timing
- RSI divergence as confirmation at key zones, never as a standalone signal
These ideas are added in a fixed order so they sharpen your reading instead of cluttering the chart. Read more in our demand and supply trading course guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which is the best forex academy in India?
There is no single best forex academy for everyone. The right one has a named mentor who actually trades, a written syllabus with risk management and demo practice, live doubt sessions, transparent fees and teaching limited to SEBI-regulated forex on Indian exchanges.
What does a forex academy teach?
A good forex academy teaches market basics, chart reading, demand-supply and price action, risk management, trading psychology, journaling and live practice. In India it should also explain which currency pairs are legal to trade and on which exchanges.
Is joining a forex academy worth it?
It is worth it if you practise regularly and use the feedback. An academy shortens the learning curve and helps avoid costly beginner mistakes, but it cannot replace your own discipline.
Can I join a forex academy online?
Yes. Many academies run live online batches. Make sure the online course includes live classes, trade reviews and doubt sessions, not only recorded videos.
How long is a forex academy course?
Most beginner courses run for one to three months of classes, followed by a few months of demo and small live trading with mentor support.
